A reporter for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/10\/business\/kroger-albertsons-merger-impact.html\">The New York Times<\/a> investigated what the acquisition might mean for a small town outside Portland, Oregon, where access to groceries in the high-poverty suburb is already limited.
