She also knows the difficulties associated with casting a vote at election time. An article in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yesmagazine.org\/democracy\/2024\/05\/28\/2024-election-disability-voting\">Yes! Magazine<\/a> explores voting access and organizations committed to building representation and the political power of people with disabilities. One of those groups is Detroit Disability Power where Flores serves as a voting access and election protection fellow. The advocacy group conducts poll-access audits to make polling locations more accessible.
