Nancy Mace and her chief rival, Catherine Templeton. Vinson, a Furman alumna and professor of politics and international affairs, said the contest between the two frontrunners in South Carolina&#8217;s coastal 1st Congressional District is more about style than substance since the candidates don&#8217;t hold widely different stances on the issues. Vinson also addressed the importance of political endorsements in the upcoming election and how an arrest in Templeton&#8217;s family may play out.
