Tickets are available at the door and are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.<\/p>\n<p>Under the direction of Furman\u2019s Jay Bocook, The Paladin Regiment<i> <\/i>will present the set list from its 2014 Exhibition Show \u201cBack to the Future.\u201d The theme of the popular 80s film serves as a springboard to explore great rock bands of the late 20<sup>th<\/sup> century. The performance includes arrangements of the title sequence to \u201cBack to the Future\u201d by film composer<i> <\/i>Alan Silvestri, \u201cKashmir\u201d<b> <\/b>as performed by Led Zeppelin, and the current smash single, \u201cBang, Bang\u201d<b> <\/b>sung by Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj<i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Marching Band will also present traditional Furman songs and favorite stand charts \u201cHey Baby,\u201d \u201cDie Young,\u201d and other classic charts from their repertoire including \u201cFirebird Fanfare,\u201d \u201cCadillac of the Skies,\u201d and \u201cCarolina in the Morning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Led by Drum Majors Hannah Carlson and Graham McBride, The Paladin Regiment will also showcase The Furman Dance Company, which will perform choreography to \u201cYou Can Call Me Al\u201d<b> <\/b>by<i> <\/i>Paul Simon, \u201cLand of a Thousand Dances\u201d<b> <\/b>made famous by Wilson Pickett, and \u201cJungle Boogie\u201d<b> <\/b>by Kool and the Gang.<\/p>\n<p>The Paladin Regiment is one of six major ensembles in the Furman Band program.\u00a0 Consisting of 115 members, the band performs at all home games, selected away games, and high school marching band festivals.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, please contact the Furman Band Office at (864) 294-3069.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Furman University\u2019s Marching Band, the Paladin Regiment, will present its annual Band Extravaganza concert Friday, Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium.\u00a0The concert, a part of Furman\u2019s Cultural Life Program, is open to the public and is held in conjunction with Family Weekend at the university.
