Registration is required for workshops and master classes. Regular registration is $30. Registration for Saturday only is $20.<\/p>\n<p>Concerts featured in Cellobration are also open to the public. Friday evening\u2019s performance is 8 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall. The recital is free to Cellobration registrants. For other guests, tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for students.<\/p>\n<p>The Friday evening recital features guest clinicians Melissa Kraut, Professor of \u2018Cello at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and Alan Weinstein, Professor of \u2018Cello at Virginia Tech and cellist for the Kandinsky Trio. Furman\u2019s Christopher Hutton, Professor of \u2018Cello, will also join the clinicians.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Friday\u2019s recital, a Cello Choir mass concert will be performed Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5:30 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium on the Furman campus. It is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p>Established in 1980 at the University of South Carolina, Cellobration is a regional music festival hosted each year by the South Carolina chapter of the American String Teachers Association (SCASTA).<\/p>\n<p>Although mostly held at Furman and USC in its 35-year history, the annual two-day event is rotated among four South Carolina colleges. Cellobration features rehearsals, master classes, recitals and clinics for all ages and skill levels, and culminates with the Saturday afternoon mass concert.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters of Cellobration include Bernhardt House of Violins (Greenville), Jim Clinton Violins (Taylors), Cellos2Go (Columbia), William Harris Lee (Chicago), Stephanie Voss Violins (Atlanta), and Carriage House Violins (Boston).<\/p>\n<p>For more information about Cellobration, visit this <i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/academics\/music\/camps-conferences\/cellobration\/\">link<\/a><\/i>.
