It was a fire fueled by a fundamental drive to \u201ctouch the life of an individual in a positive way,\u201d as he told the <em>Greenville News<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Two decades later, that\u2019s exactly what he\u2019s doing\u2014so well, in fact, that he was recently named the Greenville County Schools\u2019 Teacher of the Year for 2014\u201315.<\/p>\n<p>Scheuch, who has been the band director at Mauldin High School since 2004, was selected by five judges for the award from a pool of 95 teachers of the year from every school in Greenville County.
