Predmore, who spoke to Wood ahead of the Sustainability Summit held alongside the BMW Charity Pro-Am, touched on Furman&#8217;s commitment to becoming carbon neutral, the solar farm, the Furman Farm, Shi Institute Fellows, and the Sustainability Leadership Initiative.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"111\">&#8220;There&#8217;s an increasing focus on <\/span><span id=\"113\">supporting the Upstate and the <\/span><span id=\"114\">state of South Carolina as it moves toward sustainability,&#8221; Predmore said. &#8220;G<\/span><span id=\"116\">rowth can be good, but it comes <\/span><span id=\"119\">with a downside, and so that&#8217;s <\/span><span id=\"120\">where sustainability comes into\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"122\">play.
