Davis pointed to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/furman-advantage\/pathways-program\/\">Pathways<\/a> program and the impetus behind it. &#8220;This is the most diverse generation ever. As a result, then, students come in with different lived experiences. So, we can&#8217;t keep doing things the same old way,&#8221; she explained.<\/p>\n<p>The 25-minute interview revealed some little-known facts about the Furman president, a self-described accounting nerd who had occasion to play trombone with trumpeter Wynton Marsalis.
