{"id":2428,"date":"2016-02-11T18:25:50","date_gmt":"2016-02-11T23:25:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/2016\/02\/11\/furmans-riley-institute-selects-first-class-of-white-riley-peterson-policy-fellows-2\/"},"modified":"2022-11-07T14:27:41","modified_gmt":"2022-11-07T19:27:41","slug":"furmans-riley-institute-selects-first-class-of-white-riley-peterson-policy-fellows-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/furmans-riley-institute-selects-first-class-of-white-riley-peterson-policy-fellows-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First class of White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellows selected"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Fifteen leaders in the afterschool and expanded learning fields nationwide have been selected as White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellows as part of a partnership between The Riley Institute at Furman University and the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in October, the fellows will spend 10 months studying afterschool and expanded learning policy and developing state-level policy plans in partnership with their Statewide Afterschool Networks and the national Afterschool Alliance.<\/p>\n<p>The 2012-2013 White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellows come from such diverse states as Alaska, Hawaii, Alabama and Connecticut. White, president and CEO of the Mott Foundation; Richard W.
