In a video posted by Whiteman on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MarcWhitemanWYFFNews4\/videos\/1493854234354869\/?extid=CL-UNK-UNK-UNK-IOS_GK0T-GK1C&amp;mibextid=l2pjGR&amp;ref=sharing\">Facebook<\/a>, Richey applauded the leadership of the Board of Trustees, President Elizabeth Davis, and Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Jason Donnelly for the program&#8217;s success. Richey signed a contract extension from the university and noted that money was not the overriding factor in his decision to stay. &#8220;We have something different here,&#8221; Richey said. &#8220;We have something unique here.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Richey is the first head coach to win the SoCon Tournament and not depart for a &#8220;power conference&#8221; post since 2018.
