The study shows that <span id=\"3\">the median white household\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"5\">in Greenville earns 2.8 <\/span><span id=\"6\">times more than the median Black <\/span><span id=\"8\">household, making it difficult for Black families to remain in their homes. The addition of green spaces and parks in the city has also contributed to rising property values and rent costs. <a href=\"https:\/\/mms.tveyes.com\/Transcript.asp?StationID=2730&amp;DateTime=3%2F15%2F2023+9%3A38%3A15+AM&amp;Term=Furman&amp;PlayClip=TRUE\">FOX Carolina<\/a> covered the meeting at the Phillis Wheatley Community Center.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;Greenville&#8217;s Promise,&#8221; a meeting hosted by the City of Greenville, Greenville Housing Fund, REEM and Greater Good Greenville, looked at how rising property values are making it difficult for families to remain in their homes.
