It describes how the Education Improvement Act gained traction through a grassroots movement despite fierce opposition. Riley, a Furman alumnus who celebrated his 90th birthday in January, was on hand for the book launch at Trone Student Center. \u201cI haven\u2019t had time to read the book, but the people who have tell me it\u2019s very good,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Richard W.
