Those sessions are listed below. We will communicate consistently with the community, sharing updates and progress on initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal for these sessions is to lay the groundwork for strengthening community relationships by building skills in interpersonal dialogue and facilitation while at the same time creating a blueprint for engaging with differences in thought, ideologies and beliefs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Spring Inclusive Community Initiatives<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Information Session:<\/strong> Campus Safety, April 4, 1 &#8211; 2:30 p.m., Watkins Room<\/li>\n<li>Dialogue opportunities for faculty and staff<\/li>\n<li>Community Agreement conversations<\/li>\n<li>Dialogue series:\n<ul>\n<li>Living our values even when its\u2019s challenging<\/li>\n<li>The meaning of academic freedom and freedom of expression<\/li>\n<li>How do we define harm and support those who have been harmed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Past Sessions<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Restorative Practice training for the Senior Administrative Team<\/strong> (Vice Presidents from all divisions), Wednesday, March 15, 9 \u2013 11 a.m., Virtual.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Restorative Practice Training for students.<\/strong> Saturday, March 18 &#8211; Sunday, March 19, 9m. &#8211; 5 p.m., Library 043.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listening sessions and focus groups<\/strong> on Belonging and the Climate Survey<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>March 13 \u2013 9 \u2013 11 a.m., Watkins Room<\/li>\n<li>March 15 \u2013 12 \u2013 2 p.m., Watkins Room<\/li>\n<li>March 21 \u2013 4 &#8211; 6 p.m., Burgiss Theatre<\/li>\n<li>March 23 \u2013 3 &#8211; 5 p.m., Burgiss Theatre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Student Dins Dialogue (Sessions)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>November 7: No Justice and No Peace: What is Justice?, 5-6:30 p.m., Watkins\u00a0North Wing<\/li>\n<li>November 16: Fundamentals of Intergroup Dialogue, 5-6:30 p.m., Trone 208<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Community Conversation (November 16, 3-4:30 p.m., Burgiss Theater)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to connect and engage with the concepts of: What is community, how do we foster community after controversy, and how do we acknowledge different communities?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Communicating and Managing Crises Information Session (December 1, 3-4:30 p.m., Burgiss Theater)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Session designed to provide students, faculty and staff with information about how Furman manages and communicates crises.<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Restorative Practice Training (December 8-9)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>30 members of campus will be selected from the Senior Administration Team, DEI Committee, SGA, Dins Dialogue, and SDC to be trained as restorative practice facilitators.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Information Session:<\/strong> Bias Incident Report, Feb. 15, 2:30 &#8211; 4 p.m., Burgiss Theatre<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning Session<\/strong> with <a href=\"https:\/\/drkathyobear.com\/\">Dr. Kathy Obear<\/a>. <em>Co-Creating Equitable, Inclusive Campus Environments: Our Roles and Responsibilities as Staff, Faculty, and Administrators.<\/em> In this engaging conversation, participants will explore the dilemmas and challenges they face as change-makers as we identify strategies to create greater equity and inclusion on campus. <strong>Session for faculty and staff<\/strong> is Wednesday, Feb. 22, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Watkins Room.
