Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students.<\/p>\n<p>The one-hour concert is directed by Furman faculty member Dr. Omar Carmenates and features a wide range of 20thand 21st century music including Chinese composer Guo Wenjing\u2019s \u201cParade\u201d for three percussionists playing Chinese opera gongs, Owen Condon\u2019s electronica- and taiko drum-inspired \u201cFractalia,\u201d and David Maslanka\u2019s emotionally sweeping \u201cCrown of Thorns.\u201d The concert closes with percussionist Ivan Trevino\u2019s energetic \u201cCatching Shadows\u201d which captures the indie-rock sound of Trevino\u2019s own band, Break from Reality.<\/p>\n<p>Early concert goers may participate in the \u201cPercussion Petting Zoo\u201d where audience members may tour the stage and play the more than 40 instruments available.
