In addition to Morris, the slate includes poet laureate of the United States Ada Lim\u00f3n, New York Times best-selling author Aimee Nezhukumatathil and Marvel Comics\u2019 Benjamin Percy, as reported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.peedeenewsnetwork.com\/news\/fmu-ready-to-host-2022-pee-dee-fiction-and-poetry-festival\/article_c526b340-4faf-11ed-a368-d3add718eea4.html\">Pee Dee News Network<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Morris, associate professor of English, is the author of &#8220;Jaws of Life,&#8221; a collection of stories released by West Virginia University Press in 2018. She&#8217;s previously published short fiction in Appalachian Heritage, The Louisville Review, Bayou Magazine and other literary journals.<\/p>\n<p>Joining the faculty in 2015, Morris is also co-director of the Furman Prison Education Partnership. She holds a bachelor&#8217;s and advanced degrees in creative writing and English from Carnegie Mellon University, West Virginia University and Texas A&amp;M University.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Francis Marion University invites illustrious guests to headline the event.
