{"id":20049,"date":"2022-10-11T16:12:03","date_gmt":"2022-10-11T20:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/?p=20049"},"modified":"2022-10-11T16:26:37","modified_gmt":"2022-10-11T20:26:37","slug":"new-student-government-association-officers-sworn-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.furman.edu\/news\/new-student-government-association-officers-sworn-in\/","title":{"rendered":"New Student Government Association officers sworn in"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After elections in mid-September filled out the roster, 22 students were sworn in to serve in the Student Government Association for the 2022-2023 academic year.<\/p>\n<p>SGA&#8217;s mission is \u201cto be a proactive governing body that represents Furman\u2019s diverse student population and contributes to the positive development of the university community,\u201d according to the organization&#8217;s constitution. \u201cWe are students serving students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>SGA consists of six executive officers and four representatives for each class.
