Langston\u2019s \u201cGod of Grace and God of Glory,\u201d Dan Forrest\u2019s \u201cSt. Patrick\u2019s Hymn\u201d and David Schwoebel\u2019s \u201cGod Be in My Head.\u201d The concert will also feature the traditional \u201cBattle Hymn of the Republic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The public is invited to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 1946 by DuPre Rhame, the Furman Singers are recognized as one of America\u2019s premier collegiate choirs. \u00a0The group has performed at national and regional conventions of the American Choral Directors Association as well as inaugurations of South Carolina governors.\u00a0 The Singers have made regular tours of the Southeast, Europe and the former Soviet Union.\u00a0 The group has also performed national concerts with the Boston Pops.<\/p>\n<p>For more information on the reunion and concert at First Baptist Church, contact the Furman Music Department at (864) 294-2086.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Furman Singers Alumni Choir will perform Sunday, Aug. 4 at the 10:30 a.m. service of First Baptist Church of Greenville.
