The report, released Oct. 25, ranked the schools based on outstanding academics and great economic value.<\/p>\n<p>Furman was ranked No. 52 among the top 100 colleges in the liberal arts category.<\/p>\n<p>According to the publication, Furman earned its spot in the rankings \u201cbecause of a high four-year graduation rate, low average student debt at graduation, good student-to-faculty ratio, excellent on-campus resources and overall great value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The annual Kiplinger top-100 rankings appear in <em>Kiplinger\u2019s <\/em>December issue\u2014on newsstands November 8.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kiplinger.com\/reports\/best-college-values\/\">Visit the Kiplinger website<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Furman has been named one of the top 200 Best Values in Private Colleges by Kiplinger\u2019s Personal Finance magazine.
