The first Citadel-Furman rugby game was played in fall, 1998 with the Paladins capturing a 26-5 victory in Charleston. Furman leads the series 21- 10. Furman has played the Citadel 31 times, more than any other opponent. The squads enjoy an intense but very friendly rivalry.<\/p>\n<p>The Paladins dropped a three-point decision to the Bulldogs last November in the semi-finals of the Palmetto Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The team is coming off a 13-8 fall record, which included 7s play. The 2013 Paladins are an extremely young bunch.
