There are two student organizations on the Furman campus dedicated to the cause of conservatism. One focuses on boosting the Republican Party and tends to value moderation, bipartisanship and the art of the compromise. The other pushes for a “vibrant discussion of ideas,” and regularly generates controversy along the way. Is it possible the two groups offer a hint of conservatism’s future?
