Faculty recital ft. Buddy Deshler, trumpet

The Furman Department of Music will present a faculty recital featuring Assistant Professor of Music Buddy Deshler Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall on campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Deshler is a well-known trumpet artist and advocate for the arts. He is celebrated for his performances with ensembles like the Dallas Brass, King’s Brass and Mannheim Steamroller. He co-founded the Brass Institutes of America, offering educational opportunities for young musicians. Deshler holds degrees from the Frost School of Music, Peabody Institute and Arizona State University. He teaches the Furman Trumpet Studio at Furman University and is an endorsing artist for XO Brass, Denis Wick and Smith Watkins. Learn more at https://www.bdeshler.com/.
