
The Furman Department of Music will present Handel’s “Messiah” Friday, Dec. 5, at 7:30 p.m. in McAlister Auditorium. A beloved biannual tradition at Furman, “Messiah” will be performed by the Furman Symphony Orchestra, the Furman Oratorio Chorus and talented student soloists under the direction of Stephan Fillare. “Messiah” offers an inspiring exploration of faith, artistry and community through one of the most enduring works in the Western musical canon.
The event is open to the public and is part of Furman’s Cultural Life Program. Tickets are $10-$15 and are available at https://furmanmusic.ludus.com/. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
