Department of Music presents Greenvillebillies in bluegrass concert

The Furman Department of Music will present a concert featuring the Greenvillebillies, Furman’s Bluegrass Ensemble, Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. in Daniel Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Under the direction of Furman’s Andy Carlson, the Furman Bluegrass Ensemble performs music ranging from old-time Appalachian, country blues and traditional bluegrass to progressive acoustic music. The ensemble includes string instrumentalists (violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar, mandolin and banjo) as well as vocalists.
