October is LGBT+ History Month. A variety of events are taking place on campus, and all are welcome.

Presenters will discuss: Furman’s LGBTQIA+ history timeline, the Queer Zine collection, curricular initiatives that encourage broader intellectual engagement with non-heteronormative sexuality, and “queerly” experiences as individuals and as allies.

International Pronouns Day
Center for Inclusive Communities staff will be tabling and handing out pronoun pins at several locations on campus from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Pick up your free T-shirt and other merchandise at the the Furman Pride table at Joseph Vaughn Plaza

The LGBTQIA+ Affairs Committee seeks to foster LGBTQIA+ visibility, inclusion and belonging by asking members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community to wear their Furman Pride gear on Pride Mondays (the first Monday of every month).

A Furman Pride Alliance celebration of the closing of “The Prom” musical and LGBTQIA+ History Month. There will be food and karaoke, and all are welcome. Dress up or dress down.
