Historic gift to Furman Athletics draws media attention

A slew of media outlets run news of Ravenel B. Curry III’s $10 million pledge to Furman University Athletics to renovate Timmons Arena. Among them are WYFF News 4 (see Jason Donnelly, Furman vice president for intercollegiate athletics, in an interview), Lifestyles Magazine (subscription required), The Post and Courier, WSPA News 7, SC Biz News, GSA Business Report, UpstateBizSC, Greenville Journal, GVL Today, Philanthropy News Digest and FOX Carolina. The gift marks the largest in history for Furman Athletics. Curry, a 1963 Furman graduate (political science) who also participated in Army ROTC, is founder and chief investment officer of Eagle Capital Management in New York.
