Winning a berth in the NCAA’s FCS Playoffs is an accomplishment the Furman University Paladins are thankful for. Ahead of Saturday’s opening round versus Elon, the Paladins spent Thanksgiving among teammates and coaching staff – their “second family.” FOX Carolina visited the team and spoke to several players during a Thanksgiving feast. “I always miss my family throughout the year, but I’m lucky to have all these brothers on my team, and we grind every day. So, I’m pretty much with my family in another sense. It’s like my second family,” said Ryan Leavy, punter and redshirt sophomore from Tampa, Florida.

The Paladins rolled past Elon 31-6. They’ll face No. 7 seed UIW in the second round Dec. 3 in San Antonio.
