Furman alumnus four-day ‘Jeopardy!’ champion

Furman University chemistry alumnus turned Episcopal priest David Sibley ’07 M’08 competed again on “Jeopardy!” Friday, Sept. 30, when the streak for the longtime trivia quiz show enthusiast ended. His winning run began Monday, Sept. 26. Several news outlets covered his success and eventual demise, including The Post and Courier Greenville, NBC affiliate KNDO 23/KNDU 25, The Blog101, The Tough Tackle, Union-Bulletin (subscription required), Marietta Daily Journal (subscription required), Episcopal News Service, and ampgoo.com. Rev. Sibley is rector of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walla Walla, Washington. He earned a bachelor’s and master’s in chemistry from Furman and received his M.Div. from The General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City in 2011.
