Ten questions with Ty Houck of Greenville County Parks, Recreation & Tourism

In a Q&A piece for GVL Today, Furman University geology alumnus Ty Houck ’93 offered his take on food, future developments, Upstate visionaries and more. Houck, director of greenways, natural and historic resources for Greenville County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, took the interview to one of his favorite projects, the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail. When asked about how the city will be viewed in years to come, he said, “In 10 years I just expect more people to know what we already know about Greenville. You feel welcome when you get here. There is opportunity to grow. There are people willing to help, and there is ample access to open space so your soul can stay charged.”
