Greenville Liberty to train at Furman
Local news outlets cover the partnership between Furman University and pre-professional soccer club, USL W’s Greenville Liberty SC, sister team to the Greenville Triumph Soccer Club, a men’s professional team. The partnership will allow the Liberty to use Furman’s athletics facilities, including Eugene Stone Soccer Stadium and auxiliary fields, to train in the preseason and regular season.
The squad includes former Paladins Caitlin Reilly ’20 (health sciences) and Grace Baghdady ’22 (public health), and current Furman Women’s Soccer teammates Camryn Bolick ’24 (health sciences, pre-dental) and Cameron Whitacre ’23 (health sciences, pre-health). The club’s first home match takes place 7 p.m. Friday, May 20, against NC Courage U23 at Legacy Early College in Greenville’s West End. See more in Greenville Journal and on the WYFF News4 website.
