The Hill Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Furman University is one of 10 organizations across the state to receive a portion of $473,000 in grant funds awarded by the South Carolina Department of Commerce Office of Innovation.

The award recognizes the Hill Institute’s GVL Starts 2.0 program and nine other initiatives. The funding is a result of the Commerce Department’s 2022 Relentless Challenge whose mission is to advance and support technology-based economic development projects, commercialization of new ideas and the next generation of industry-leading companies.
