Longtime Apple spokesperson Kristin Huguet Quayle, a 1999 Furman University communication studies and political science alumna, has assumed the role of vice president of worldwide communications at Apple. She replaces Stella Low who served in that role for less than a year.

As VP of communications, she reports directly to Apple CEO Tim Cook.

In a statement to 9TO5Mac, an Apple spokesperson said, “Kristin has played an instrumental role sharing Apple’s story of incredible innovation and strong values for more than 15 years. With an extraordinary depth of experience and a long track record of principled leadership, Kristin is uniquely suited for her new role overseeing worldwide communications.”

In addition to her Furman bachelor’s degree, Quayle holds an MBA from the University of California Berkeley Haas Business School.
