Yendelela Neely Holston, chief diversity and inclusion officer and partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, has been named a Top Diversity & Inclusion Officer honoree in Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2021 Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Awards.

A Furman University Board of Trustees member, Holston goes on record in an Atlanta Business Chronicle Q&A, where she tackles questions about leadership, her passion for DEI, Atlanta’s DEI challenges, and the future of DEI. About the latter, she said, “My hope is that we stop working from the false premise that we all receive an equal shot in life and start working toward making it a reality. This will take frank and honest discussion, deep introspection, acceptance of unpleasant truths, and innovative approaches to fixing long broken systems.”
