Furman University alumnus Bear Rinehart ’03, founding member and lead singer for Christian rock band Needtobreathe, was featured in an article appearing the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The former Paladin wide receiver and political science graduate is looking forward to touring again and sharing music from two projects the band churned out during the COVID-19 concert shutdown. Band member Seth Bolt goes on record about the challenges of the pandemic and the strain of losing Bear’s brother, Bo, who left the band.

Bolt said Bear had no problem picking up the songwriting slack, hammering out “essentially a song a day” during the lead up to the recording session for “Into The Mystery,” which dropped in May.
