Furman University has made Washington Monthly’s list of “Best Colleges for Student Voting.” The 205 colleges and universities that earned the honor must meet five criteria, including submission of an ALL IN action plan. ALL IN helps colleges develop strategies for elevating civic engagement. Ahead of last year’s general election, Erica Daley ’22, a politics and international affairs major, led Dins Vote, an effort to increase student voter turnout. Across the nation, and for the first time since the U.S. allowed voting at age 18, more than half of all 18- to 24-year-olds cast ballots in the 2020 Presidential Election.
