As COVID-19 restrictions loosen with an increase in vaccinations, The Washington Post offers an eclectic collection of essays describing the 11 things that will remain with us as a result of pandemic-imposed adaptations. Among them are “Soft pants,” “Online ordering at in-person restaurants,” “Wearing masks when we’re sick,” “Spending time with pets,” “Appreciating essential workers,” and “Being bored,” an essay by Benjamin Storey and Jenna Silber Storey, professors in the Department of Politics and International Affairs at Furman University.
