Class of 2020 returns to campus for in-person Commencement May 15

On Saturday, May 15, the class of 2020 will return to campus for an in-person Commencement ceremony – which will look quite different from their virtual ceremony in spring 2020.
Nearly 350 members of the class are expected to attend. The ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at Paladin Stadium after a procession beginning at 12:30 p.m.

The alumni will hear from Deb Richardson-Moore, the author of four fiction titles and a memoir, “The Weight of Mercy,” about her early years as a pastor at the Triune Mercy Center in Greenville, South Carolina.
In her 15 years at the helm of the Triune Mercy Center, more than 1,600 individuals experiencing homelessness or suffering from substance use disorders were given a second chance through rehab services. She is a popular speaker at book clubs, universities and churches who has won numerous awards for community involvement, including the 2020 Humanitarian Award by Upstate Housing Connections and the 2017 Leadership Greenville Distinguished Alumni Award.
Social distancing and safety guidelines will remain in force for the ceremony.
