February is Black History Month!

BIG Ideas Competition

Have an idea but don’t know where to go to get it off the ground? The Big Ideas Competition gives you 90 seconds to share your problem, solution, and target audience! Sponsored by the Furman Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute, the competition will be held virtually via Zoom on Feb. 16 and Feb. 23 from 1-3 p.m. Click here to sign up!

Join the Malone Center for Career Engagement on Feb. 16 from 6-7 p.m. to hear from experts in government work (and Furman alum!) discuss how to be successful and advance your career in this field. Spring Student Involvement Fair

Looking to get plugged in on campus? Interested in joining a new student organization? Stop by the Spring Student Involvement Fair on Feb. 17 from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in front of the Trone Student Center.

DIY T-Shirt Produce Bags

Have an old t-shirt lying around? Eco Reps will be hosting DIY t-shirt produce bag events around campus! Bring your own t-shirt and learn how to upcycle it into a reusable produce bag! Virtual Ripple Interfaith Conference – Free Access!

The goal of the Ripple Conference, hosted by Elon University, is to empower and inspire interfaith student leaders by offering time to learn, engage, reflect, and share. Participants will learn about other traditions, including religious, spiritual, and secular worldviews, engage in social justice and interfaith dialogue, and have the opportunity to share their own perspectives. This year’s virtual conference, which will take place on Feb. 19 and 20, will focus on intersectional interfaith and features keynote speaker Blair Imani. Click here to learn more. Meeting Space Reminder!

A friendly reminder that academic buildings continue to be closed to all student organization and non-academic class meetings. Classrooms also should not be used as individual or group study spaces. Should you need a space to meet and/or study, you can find information about available spaces on the Furman Focused website.
