Opinion: Ask yourself a different set of questions

Many of us may breathe a little easier now that 2021 is upon us with renewed hope for a better year following the chaos the pandemic spawned. But before we kick 2020 to the curb entirely, Furman’s John Harris ’91, a mathematics professor and faculty director of the Cothran Center for Vocational Reflection at the university, implores readers of the Greenville News to examine lessons learned from a tumultuous year – “What things brought me joy this year? Sadness? What is something that I learned? What opportunities did I miss? What habits and practices do I want to take into the new year, and which ones do I want to leave behind?” he writes in an opinion piece.
