For those who love Greenville, South Carolina, there’s no need to see the municipality ranked on a list of “best small cities” – but it’s nice, nonetheless. Greenville, home to Furman University, was named the No. 6 “best small city in the United States” in the 2020 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Its fourth consecutive appearance on the “best small cities” list, Greenville is praised for its farm-to-table scene, craft beer industry and striking natural resources, including the 22-mile Swamp Rabbit Trail, a portion of which winds through the Furman campus.
