Furman’s Connie Carson, vice president for student life, is tapped for an article appearing in The Washington Post Magazine about sending students back to school amid a pandemic. The piece focuses on ways to allay anxiety among students and parents alike. Carson mentions the university’s use of the LiveSafe app, which includes a health check-in feature. “If [students] have any issues or symptoms, they are instructed to shelter in place and contact the Student Health Center for a telehealth appointment and instructions for next steps,” she said.
