Anna Morgan’s ‘goofball’ approach is good for golf game

As an incoming freshman on the Furman University Women’s Golf team in fall 2019, Anna Morgan ’23 of Spartanburg could have played it safe while getting to know her teammates. But the quiet, reserved approach isn’t her style – in personality or in her game. The Greenville News and USA Today Sports Network reported on Morgan’s stellar performance in June tournaments after she and teammates endured three months of COVID-19 lockdowns. Reporter Eric Boynton spoke to Morgan, Head Coach Jeff Hull and recent graduate Natalie Srinivasan ’20, who was voted most outstanding women’s collegiate golfer this year.
