Furman University students, alumni, parents and friends will join together Tuesday, June 16, to kick off the sixth annual Dins Day, a 24-hour celebration of Paladin pride and philanthropy.

After a date change due to COVID-19, the Furman community will finally have its chance to show support by wearing purple, giving to the university and participating in virtual activities with fellow Paladins.

“Whether donors give to support student experiences, scholarships, academics, athletics or the various institutes and outreach centers that make our community unique, they have the power to make an impact on both the present and future of Furman University,” said Gloria Goosby, director of annual giving.

Due to social distancing guidelines, no events will be held on campus or at satellite locations with the Furman Advantage Network (FAN) Clubs, but Furman family and friends are invited to participate in trivia being hosted by pillars of the Furman community on Furman Alumni social media pages.

In addition, Furman alumni are encouraged to post images of themselves in their Furman gear and the “I Gave” social media image that is provided to all donors.

“We are excited to see our Furman family come together to make a difference for Furman this year,” said Goosby.
