Megan Prewitt Koon, a 2002 Furman University English alumna, has written her debut book, “Sweet Divinity.” Subtitled “A little sweet, a little Southern … baked to perfection,” the story is about a woman whose marriage dissolves and who moves back to the farm where she was raised, living again with her mother. It’s about “how much of home stays with you even when you go off and make a new life for yourself,” said Koon in a Q&A with Greenville Journal.

Koon came to Furman in July 2019 as a student services counselor in Undergraduate Evening Studies. She now serves in Furman’s Information Technology Services as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) adoption lead and as an adjunct professor in the Department of Communication Studies. She holds a Master of Arts in English (2005) through a joint program at College of Charleston and The Citadel.
