Grant is a 1980 political science graduate.

Furman University alumnus Steve M. Grant ’80 shares the tragic story of how drug use impacted his family in a newly released book, “Don’t Forget Me: A Lifeline of Hope for Those Touched by Substance Abuse and Addiction.” Grant, who was part of the Furman Paladin baseball team and majored in political science, lost both sons to drug overdose. With the book, he hopes to offer guidance and encouragement to parents and help them detect early  warning signs of addiction. Published Feb. 4, 2020, the book was featured in a July, 2019 Greenville Journal pre-release article. UpstateBizSC also covered the book’s debut.
