Furman will welcome VentureSouth, a Top 10 angel investment group in North America, to campus Dec. 4-5, as they present the fourth annual Venture Carolina Education Conference.

More than 200 VentureSouth members and community leaders will gather to engage in five educational sessions geared toward helping entrepreneurs, investors, economic developers, professionals in higher education and the financial sector and a variety of other industries understand the unique intricacies associated with the world of early stage capital formation.

The Furman Office for Innovation and Entrepreneurship along with Morris, Manning and Martin Law, are title sponsors for the event which will feature a keynote presentation by John Yates, a Furman trustee, partner at Morris, Manning and Martin and a member of Furman’s Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leadership Council. Anthony Herrera, executive director of Furman’s Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, will lead the session entitled “The Pitch.”

“Furman is proud to be part of VentureSouth’s Venture Carolina Summit that continues to educate the entrepreneurship ecosystem that supports the development of early-stage growth companies throughout the Southeast,” says Herrera.
