“It’s hard to hear us talk about Jackson in the past and that he’s no longer here with us. But he will always be here with us in spirit, and he will always be in this locker room,” said Lisa Roberts, mother of the late Jackson Roberts. The Furman Men’s Lacrosse player died in a motorcycle accident early last year. To honor the fallen teammate, Furman Men’s Lacrosse raised over $650,000 to renovate the team’s locker room, now named for Roberts. The funds will also contribute to a future turf field for the Paladins. WYFF4 covered the story.
