Local artist, teacher celebrates retirement with two-part exhibition

Michael Brodeur was the first art department chair at the South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts & Humanities, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary. He joined the Furman Department of Art in 2003. Retiring after this academic year, Brodeur commemorates his connections with both schools in one collaborative show, “The Veneer of the Familiar.” The Greenville Journal covers the exhibitions which include never-before-shown works.
