Furman Professor of Biology Victoria Turgeon had already earned the trust of her fellow faculty members, so it was no surprise that she agreed to become the university’s faculty ombudsman four years ago. In a Chronicle of Higher Education article that looks at the growing importance of the faculty ombudsman on campus, Turgeon is widely quoted and her role at Furman featured. Turgeon is one of two faculty ombudsmen; Joe Pollard is the other, and Gary Clark is the staff ombudsman. Learn more about their services here.
