In praise of “Seeking Abraham”
Furman University was founded in Edgefield, South Carolina (in 1826) before moving to Greenville, so it is not unusual for the local newspaper to be interested in what the university is doing. The Edgefield Advertiser published an op-ed recently praising Furman’s “Seeking Abraham” project and calling the university “one of those salutary institutions of higher education who have examined their past in a successful effort to better their future.”
