Tollison to participate in WWI symposium hosted by Lander University

Furman Assistant Professor of History Courtney Tollison will serve as a panelist in a symposium hosted by Lander University March 14-15 on the impact of World War I on the South. Panel discussion topics include The Military, Foreign Policy & World War I; Women, Patriotism & World War I; Local Stories: World War I, Greenwood and the S.C. Upstate; Race Relations and World War I; and Southern Agriculture and World War I, among others. Read more about the symposium in an article appearing in the Index-Journal (Greenwood).

Tollison is Assistant Professor of History at Furman. Previously, she served as the Founding Historian for the Upcountry History Museum-Furman University and Founding Director of the Furman University Oral History Project. She specializes in modern American history, particularly in South Carolina and the Upstate, and in Public History.
